My Lil Nixon James is now 5 months old! He is such a little cutie. He laughs at everything and everyone. He is such a happy baby. Everyone always comments on what a good baby he is. He is such a joy in our life!

Nixon at 5 months
-He loves to laugh
-He smiles at everyone
-He LOVES his Daddy. He stares at him and watches his every move. It's so cute!
-He gets a huge smile on his face whenever he sees his Mommy or Daddy.
-When he's sad he says mama ma ;)
-He's up to 7 oz of formula
-He eats rice cereal and baby food.
-Still loves his baths and splashes around like crazy!
-Rolls over all over the place
-He's a people watcher
-He grabs at our faces
-He always tries to suck on my chin! Ha Ha. One time he started sucking so hard, I almost got a hickey!
-He covers his face with his blanky when he goes to sleep.
-He refuses the bink and would rather suck on his fingers or his blanky.

WHaT wE hAvE BeEn Up to LateLy

Well we have tried almost all the baby foods, and as of right now his favorite is bananas! But can you blame him?? it's so yummy! I still remember sneaking bites of it when my Mom would feed my little sisters. Mmm mmm! He doesn't mind the squash but he's not much of a fan when it comes to the veggies. I did try them first before he had a taste of the yummy fruit but he wouldn't keep it down. He just kept spitting it out with a discussed look upon his face. So we will just have to keep working on that.

This week went jogging at liberty park with our friends Marissa, Hayden and Abigail. It was nice to get outside and do some sort of exercising, I'm so bad at that. The weather felt so nice!
I just love this time of year!

This weekend Me, Nix, Ev and Aric went to the Salt Lake County fair. We saw all kinds of animals from pigs to horses to sea lions. We also went down the giant slide and sacks and then danced to Poker face on dance dance revolution. I so wish we would have got a video of it. It was hilarious to watch Ev and Aric dance to it! They got some pretty sweet moves. Then we went and looked at some pretty amazing artwork and got Nix's name written in Japanese's. It was fun to get to spend some time with my Hubby. It feels like forever since we had a day to play. He's so busy now with working two jobs and going to school. He works so hard for our little family. I'm so blessed to have him as my Husband:) Love you Babe<3

Labor day weekend

I found these pictures of Evan and I smiling very similar in our Baby photo albums. The other day I was taking pics of Nix and was able to capture the same open mouthed smile haha. I love it. It's funny cause everyone says Nix looks like Ev, but when you look at our baby pics he looks a lot like me! What do you guys think??

Kara came to visit from Michigan for Labor Day weekend. It was fun to get to see her again! It was her first time meeting Nixon. They had some good bonding time:) She was here for her birthday, so we got to celebrate it with her! Hope you had a good birthday! We love you :)

She got him to fall asleep on her shoulder twice, it was so was cute! That's one of my favorite things. I love to cuddle my babe! And now the only time he will let me is when he is drinking his bottle or asleep.

Nix already knew how to stick his tongue out but not this far! Thanks for teaching me my new trick Aunt Kara! It's my new favorite thing and I do it all the time!

Becca made a yummy steak lunch for Labor Day! I love BBQ's with the family.

Hanging out with Grampa and Uncle Aric.

Hanging out with Daddy.

Laughing at Daddy!

Saturday night my Dad and Brother's came up and stayed with us. It was fun to get to see them! Nixon kept smiling and laughing at them. He probably thought they were funny looking ;) Love you guys!

Rice Cereal

Nixon is growing up so fast! He gets more fun everyday! Everyday is a new adventure full of fun and exciting things for him. He love, loves being outside! And right now it is so so nice! I love the fall weather. We go on a lot of walks with our friends that live right next to us, Marissa and her twins, Hayden and Abigail. They are a day older then Nixon! So its fun to get all our babes together to play.

Out for a walk to the library. Nix was very tired so he fell asleep right away.

Hanging out with his friends!

I get a thumbs up for his new jammies! ha. These really explain him well..
he really is a night owl.

He was really fascinated by the owl print on his jammie pants.
It entertained him for about 5 mins!

I laid him in his car seat for a minute and came back to get him and found him like this... Ha ha he had a big smile on his face like he was so proud he just figured out how to escape!

I just love this little boy!!! Every face expression he makes is just so cute!
He makes my day everyday:) Love you baby boy!

So we tried out the rice cereal.... He is still not loving it! He's so funny. I put a little on his tongue and he starts gagging like its the nastiest thing in the whole world!! And then he looks at me like, "How could you Mommy" So for now we will just stick with formula and try the cereal again in a week or so.
