Oh
hi! It's been ages since I wrote on this blog. I keep going back and
forth between blogs trying to decide what I want to do with them. I
haven't been doing as many projects lately on my design blog, so I have
been posting a lot of family stuff on there. Which is fine, but I am
neglecting this blog which was meant to be my family blog. Oh well, I'll
figure it out one day.
Speaking
of family, isn't family the best! I seriously don't know what I would
do without them. I am so grateful for all of their love and support.
With them, I honestly feel on top of the world and that I could
accomplish anything I put my mind to. Lately I have been doing a lot of
"soul searching" I guess you could say, and trying to figure out life
and things I would like to accomplish.
Since
I was about 14, I have had the dream of being able to help those in
need and reach out to others all across the world. I seriously wish I
had millions of dollars I could just give away to people. How awesome
would that be? Have you ever seen the Secrete Millionaire? Or Extreme
Makeover? I love watching shows like that. I would love to be apart of
something like that. I do what little I can now and I hope it makes a
difference. I'm not telling you this to toot my own horn, I'm only
sharing it because it's an ambition of mine and has been on my mind a
lot lately.
I
had a friend go to Ecuador and help at the orphanage over there. I
would love to do something like that, but on the other hand, I'm sure it
would break my heart and I would want to try and adopt them all and take
them home with me!
My church, the LDS
church, does a lot with humanitarian work that I have been trying to
get involved in. I recently was reading on one of their sites
called LDS Philanthropies. It is so awesome to see how many people are involved in trying to help
improve others lives. People from all over, and of other faiths and
religions are also helping bring hope and joy into others lives.
Sorry
if I'm starting to sound preachy, that wasn't my intention, it's just
something I am very passionate about. Maybe one day I will be able to
make a difference, but for now, I am going to keep doing what little I
can. Some people say it's the small things that can really make a
difference in someone's life.
You probably also noticed that I am putting off math this semester... I don't think my brain is ready for it. But I really am excited about school. I know it's going to be crazy and my life is going to be busier than ever with homework, a husband also in school and two little boys running around, but I'm sure it will all work out. Well here's to a new week.
